While CtrlChain has been operating successfully in the United States since last year, the company is now focusing on advancing its offerings, particularly in transportation management. With the launch of its managed transportation service and the introduction of multi-stop shipments, CtrlChain reaffirms its commitment to providing comprehensive logistics solutions that prioritize customer satisfaction.

CtrlChain’s Shipper TMS modernizes the way businesses manage their transportation needs. Managed Transportation by CtrlChain offers a seamless integration of shippers’ own carrier networks into our system, empowering them to plan their shipping operations with ease. Now, shippers can easily tender ad-hoc shipments to their existing carriers or leverage CtrlChain’s extensive network of trusted carriers to ensure optimal delivery routes and efficiency.

Specializing in full truckload (FTL) shipments, CtrlChain’s innovative system not only enhances service quality but also significantly reduces overhead and administrative costs for businesses. On average, shippers spend from 30-90 minutes working on the operational tasks for each order. This includes searching for transportation, replying to carrier inquiries, appointment coordination, and so on. By leveraging the CtrlChain platform, shippers can streamline their shipping operations, spending less time on manual tracking and more time focusing on core business activities.

“As we grow we aim to position ourselves as a strategic partner within company’s Supply Chain Management where we focus on digitalization, automating logistics management through data driven decision making. We also focus on incorporating sustainability and ethical practices as core components of supply chain management on top of efficiency, safety and cost reduction,” stated Giovanni Gubbels, CEO.

With a solid foundation built on years of success in Europe, CtrlChain aims to empower businesses across the United States to optimize their shipping processes and achieve sustainable growth.

In addition to its commitment to customer satisfaction, CtrlChain continues to address industry challenges such as freight fraud, driver shortages, and sustainability concerns. Through strategic partnerships and investments in digitalization, CtrlChain remains at the forefront of driving innovation and facilitating international expansion.

PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: Safety and Ergonomics https://www.inboundlogistics.com/articles/product-spotlight-safety-and-ergonomics/ Tue, 23 May 2023 17:20:00 +0000 https://www.inboundlogistics.com/?post_type=articles&p=36770  •  HeroWear Apex 2: The latest version of HeroWear’s back-assist exosuit helps warehouse workers perform movements such as lifting and sustained or repeated bending. The Apex 2 weighs less than 3 pounds and can take 75 pounds of strain off a typical worker’s back with every lift. It reduces muscle strain and fatigue by up to 40% without motors or batteries, reducing the risk of back injury without restricting freedom of movement.

Yale Reliant•  Yale Reliant Operator Assistance: The operator assistance solution—now available on 18 Yale lift truck models—uses multiple detection technologies to monitor the surrounding environment and the status of the lift truck and load, and implements automatic performance controls. Yale Reliant provides warnings and assists with operator awareness by proactively reducing truck speed if it detects pedestrians, other trucks, or obstacles in the monitored area.

Treston Edge•  Treston Quick Edge Workstation: This industrial workstation lets operators adjust the desk’s height according to the needs of the application and to workers’ standing heights. Pictured is the workstation above a conveyor line. Treston also recently released a lifting platform on which workers can stand to further adapt the working height to the requirements of employees, the task, or the items being processed.

Raymond•  Raymond 8810 Side Entry Pallet Truck: The pallet truck from the Raymond Corporation offers easy access from either side and is designed for a wide range of materials handling and order picking applications. Providing ergonomic features, Model 8810 allows operators to ride more comfortably. Available with Raymond’s iWAREHOUSE telematics, Model 8810 gives fleet and facility managers the ability to acquire and analyze fleet, asset, and workforce data.

Combi-Cube •  COMBi-CUBE: The new electric forklift from Combilift incorporates ergonomic features that improve handling procedures and provide driver comfort. The multidirectional truck’s bright green color is easily visible for improved safety. Additionally, the driver’s position in the center of the cab offers room and visibility. The angle of the telescopic steering column can be adjusted and the Grammer MSG65 seat, combined with hydraulic cabin mounts, provides a comfortable ride.

AutoStore FusionPort•  AutoStore FusionPort and FusionPort Staging: The new workstations from AutoStore feature improved ergonomics for greater operator productivity. FusionPort has two tilted order-picking bin openings and visual picking aids. These features reduce the repetitive movements operators make as they transfer inventory from one location to another, while streamlining order picking by providing visual cues with a pick-to-light system for easy item identification. The station also includes a safety hatch that makes the bins accessible only when the port is ready for picking.

Roly Safety Gate:•  Roly Safety Gate: The updated pallet drop safety gate from Mezzanine Safeti-Gates protects both people and products. The Roly design includes a high-strength, high-visibility netting system on the ledge side gate that prevents products from falling from elevated storage systems. In addition, the netting on the safety gates prevents employees from getting their hands into the loading zone.

Hyster Dynamic Stability System (DSS)•  Hyster Dynamic Stability System (DSS): The Hyster DSS comes standard on the A Series (pictured), a new line of forklifts that offer configurability to match operational requirements. The stability system on the trucks lowers the likelihood of forward and sideway tip overs. The solution not only sends audible and visual alerts to operators, but automatically limits forklift functionality to promote safe operating practices in real time, while leaving the operator in control of the truck. Improving lateral stability, the system can dynamically limit speed when driving around corners based on how tightly the truck is turning.

Radaro and NorthStar Digital Solutions Partner to Solve Industry-Wide Process Gaps in LTL & TL Transportation https://www.inboundlogistics.com/articles/radaro-and-northstar-digital-solutions-partner-to-solve-industry-wide-process-gaps-in-ltl-tl-transportation/ Tue, 18 Oct 2022 09:25:08 +0000 https://www.inboundlogistics.com/?post_type=articles&p=34879 In collaboration with a private carrier over the past three years, the application addresses real-world pain points of transportation.

Allowing carriers to connect, mobilize, track, and manage their fleets in real time, FR8Focus was developed to integrate into all facets of less-than-a-truckload (LTL) and truckload operations (TL).

NorthStar Digital Solutions COO, Dave Brajkovich, explains, “FR8Focus is about more than a single piece of technology. It’s about flawlessly combining an assortment of technologies to solve industry-wide issues. Operations can see their entire fleet(s) on the road at a glance, communicate with drivers instantly and adjust schedules ad hoc.” Mr. Brajkovich continues, “From a carrier’s customer standpoint, we have eliminated a lot of frustration. When they see real-time route flows and receive instant notifications, there is no longer a need to ask where their shipment is.”

The application provides agility and visibility while reducing the antiquated processes of paper-shuffling from hours to minutes, even seconds, by completely digitizing operational workflow. This significantly lessens carrier overhead, eliminating all manual labor previously required to handle documentation.

PODs are scanned by the drivers and uploaded instantly to backend TMS systems to provide next-minute customer invoicing. Customs documentation is uploaded immediately to expedite shipment release and border crossing. This is backed by document capture resolution, mitigating error and ensuring no carriers are leaving money on the table.

Radaro’s Joe Thull, Head of North America, comments, “Working with a large LTL provider over these past two years allowed us to co-create a solution that has solved many of the current LTL marketplace challenges while being simple to use, yet powerful to scale.” Mr. Thull adds, “Our solution was developed with the carrier, the customer, and the driver in mind, resulting in truly intuitive systems where workflows anticipate each step. FR8Focus complements existing tech stacks to allow for efficient integration and avoid the headache of replacing systems essential to running their business.”

Mr. Brajkovich notes, “Customers, partners, and transportation leaders are showing significant interest and excitement. Not just for the impact FR8Focus can have on their bottom line, but for how quickly we can integrate. Our ROIs are well-established and the infrastructure is in place. We can integrate into a small fleet or trial portion of a larger fleet within a couple of days.” He concludes, “Waiting for information is a non-starter for this day and age. With FR8Focus, we’re connecting the road to the back office!”

FR8Focus is alleviating operational pain points in the LTL and TL marketspace and delivering solutions with speed, accuracy, and simplicity. Its use-case provides a detailed look into the real insights gained by one of Canada’s largest privately owned LTL carriers.

Those interested in scheduling a demonstration or learning more about the application are encouraged to contact Radaro or NorthStar Digital Solutions.
